Some of the largest technological advancements have been, and continue to be, driven by military conflicts and large-scale wars. Radar, jet engines, computers, nuclear energy, satellites, the internet, drones, GPS and digital photography are all products of war.

At the same time as we as a species are driven to innovate by the necessity of violent conflict, we are also driven by cooperation and communication, using new technologies and developing new ones to bridge differences across regions, build and rebuild economies and societies after war, solve poverty and health issues.

This newsletter covers the latest developments in how we use and develop technologies for war and peace today.
