In June 2023, I had the pleasure of joining a thought-provoking panel at SEG3, powered by Accenture in London, titled “Balancing the Books: Driving ROI from Web3 & Metaverse Projects.”
This panel brought together a diverse group of industry experts, including Ola Polak Martin El-Khouri, Ida Kymmer, Mark Epps, and Peter Berisha.
Together, we explored how businesses can achieve meaningful ROI from Web3 and immersive web projects by focusing on tangible outcomes rather than the hype.
Unlike many discussions surrounding Web3 and the immersive web, which often emphasize novelty, our conversation centered on real business impact. We examined how these digital platforms can drive returns by aligning closely with client and partner needs. The sports and betting industries were particularly relevant examples, as both sectors are well-positioned to leverage immersive technology and blockchain for authentic, value-adding experiences.
One of the key takeaways was how innovative Web3 projects can drive business goals without losing sight of profitability. By creating immersive, fan-centered experiences within the immersive web, brands can deepen engagement, enhance loyalty, and ultimately boost revenue.
